Indiana Jones

We went to see Indiana Jones this weekend in theater. It was the first movie we have seen at the theater in over a year. Jonathan has been an Indie fan his entire life so he was a bit harder to please than myself, who simply saw it as a good comedy/action flick.
Our ratings are as follows:
Jonathan: Two Stars - Only two stars in light of the other three fantastic Indie movies. Just didn't live up to the Indiana name.
Three stars - when taken as an independent film, not considering the previous three.
Jayme: Four Stars - I'm not a huge Indiana fan although I love the archaeology theme and who doesn't love Harrison Ford? I thought some of the scenes were a little silly and some of the lines kind of cheesy, in agreement with Jonathan. But overall, I liked the story and the characters. I thought it was worth the money and is one that I would watch again and own.
In other news, Jonathan has nearly more clients than he can handle and is loving his new career. I registered for Grad school classes for the Fall semester and couldn't be more excited. I will be taking History of Anthropology I (required for the MA) and Ethnography: Peoples of the Southwest. I can't believe I will finally be able to take a class on Native Americans. And thanks to my job, I will only be paying 25% of normal Graduate fees. Am I in heaven?

Updated Blog

Hello everyone. We still can't find our camera cord but we borrowed Dad's and downloaded about a month's worth of pictures. I have added pictures to old posts so you might check through some older ones. We heard that Wilma likes to read our blog and we apologize that we don't have more pictures. We will try harder. We love you and can't wait to see you (Aunt Wilma and Uncle Rob) in October!

Father's Day

Finished pergula at Dad's house. We all stayed up late talking outside. Jonathan played the guitar and we all sang some of our favorites.

The hand-made gift that we bought Dad for Father's Day and his birthday. It is gracing the wall in the pergula and goes nicely with another piece of koi art.
We had a great weekend. On Saturday we made a short trip to surprise Dad for Father's Day. He had no idea we were coming. We got to spend some time with family and then went home on Sunday. Happy Father's Day!

Nice weekend

This weekend we went to the Art Festival. We got to taste some nice wine from a vineyard and looked and some unbelievable art. Friday night we watched "Life Aquatic" and ate some pizza. I also received a pair of beautiful earrings from my best friend. Thank you Els, I just love them!

Happy Birthday to Amanda! She turned 14 yesterday and I am just blown away by how fast time flies. We love you!

Getting much better...

Good morning all! After a nice weekend of restorative rest, I am finally walking straight and feeling better. I have a two-week check-up on Thursday and then the limits on my physical activity should be lifted. Hopefully in the near future, I will be back on my bike riding almost 12 miles to and from work, doing my yoga, and running. Ah, how I look forward to it!
We enjoyed some Frasier and homemade pizza.

Jonathan had his first tutoring session last night and came home saying, "I'm hooked!" He is really loving the improvement of his students that is only possible with one-on-one teaching. He now has enought clients to nearly exceed what he was making at the school and he's only just begun! Great job, honey!
