We went to see Indiana Jones this weekend in theater. It was the first movie we have seen at the theater in over a year. Jonathan has been an Indie fan his entire life so he was a bit harder to please than myself, who simply saw it as a good comedy/action flick.
Our ratings are as follows:
Jonathan: Two Stars - Only two stars in light of the other three fantastic Indie movies. Just didn't live up to the Indiana name.
Three stars - when taken as an independent film, not considering the previous three.
Jayme: Four Stars - I'm not a huge Indiana fan although I love the archaeology theme and who doesn't love Harrison Ford? I thought some of the scenes were a little silly and some of the lines kind of cheesy, in agreement with Jonathan. But overall, I liked the story and the characters. I thought it was worth the money and is one that I would watch again and own.
In other news, Jonathan has nearly more clients than he can handle and is loving his new career. I registered for Grad school classes for the Fall semester and couldn't be more excited. I will be taking History of Anthropology I (required for the MA) and Ethnography: Peoples of the Southwest. I can't believe I will finally be able to take a class on Native Americans. And thanks to my job, I will only be paying 25% of normal Graduate fees. Am I in heaven?
