Sorry for the long delayed post, folks. Things have been pretty nuts around here!

In the last few weeks, Quinn has become Mr. Independence. When we go for a walk on the trail, he gets far ahead of us and doesn't even look back. He knows we are there. He is playing a lot more by himself, already delving into the world of imagination. He can be heard talking to himself and his toys. He is talking all the time; not too many full words yet, but he knows what he is saying. We do well communicating for the most part, combining signs and words to figure each other out. Right now he can say most of the following words: ball, bed, mop, up, down, done, and truck. There are probably others but I'm not remembering them at the moment. He loves music and has recently been singing in pitch to some Pentatonix songs. He can point to most of his body parts, likes to color, and seems to be starting to grasp numbers. He also seems to recognize his and our names when written. Honestly, he is growing so fast that we can barely keep track of all the new things he is doing! Oh, and I almost forgot - he has cut 6 new teeth this month! Almost all of his molars are in. Hurray for expanded food opportunities!

| Celebrating my birthday. Q's present was throwing up all over me later that night. |

| Q likes to wave to everyone he meets |
Since I last posted, I turned 29 and had a lovely birthday. Then we all got the norovirus and were sick as dogs around Valentine's day. We've had snow, below freezing temps, and arctic winds. The weather has finally turned a bit warmer the last week or two (thank God!). Jonathan also presented at a conference early this month, and we both presented at a conference on campus a week later. Jonathan won second place in a graduate research competition. He is also presenting at a conference in April, June, and possibly July and December.

We are also selling our house and buying a new one, closing on both homes at the end of next month. My mother will be moving in with us. Yea! Between conferences, work, school, teaching, selling a house, hunting for a new one, and chasing Quinn around, we have been so busy!
