End of Summer

It has been a busy summer! We've done landscaping, deck staining, painting, and various odd jobs around the house. We've traveled some, visited family, and taken many walks. School starts next week. Daddy is teaching, working, and starting his comps for his PhD. Mommy is teaching and working on her dissertation.
Happy!

I will be two next month and I'm getting a head start on the "terrific" twos. I love the word No. I like to say it, even when I don't mean it. It's just fun to have autonomy. "No way!" See how fun that was? I like to read a lot - my favorite book is a product catalog of all the Thomas the Train toys. I can name most of the trains in the book. I love anything with wheels - cars, trucks, trains, planes, helicopters. I also recently think dinosaurs are really neat, and I still love playing outside more than anything.

I had a big growth spurt last week. I'm a full inch taller than I was a month ago! At 34.5 inches tall, I'm at the 75th percentile for height, and still past the 98th for weight at 33 pounds. Mom is so excited - she has been so worried that I inherited her short gene.

I can speak in full sentences that are more and more discernible to big people. Last week I said a nine word sentence with all parts of speech - "Oh wow, this is a big, big dog, huh?" (speaking of JJ). I like to sing, dance, and run around like a train. Choochoo!
Hey, this thing got smaller!
I went on a boat for the first time a couple of weeks ago with friends in Branson. I screamed at first - the motor was loud and scary. But I warmed up after a while and sat with mom up on deck.

I've started going on the potty again after a looooong potty pause, because I realize that I don't have to wear a yucky diaper if I pee on the potty. Woohoo! Free willy!

I'm sure there are other fun things to talk about, but I can't remember them at the moment. You know, my memory isn't fully developed. :) Here are some pictures for you to enjoy.
Hiding

I like reading, even in my sleep.

I love to clean!
