...Part III

Week Two - The Coast and Brugge
On Tuesday, we headed to Knokke, a cute coastal town. Here is a lovely view from the sea. It was cold but not as cold as it was inland. We enjoyed walks on the beach and a little girl-time shopping.
Here is Jonathan and I on the beach one morning.

Thursday we went to Brugge, "the Venice of the North". The town was a center of lace-production during the Middle Ages. It was foggy on our drive there but once inside Brugge, the sun shone and few tourists were out that day.

One of my favorite places in Brugge is a centuries-old convent where some nuns still live. It was so peaceful.
We had a wonderful time there and went home in the evening.
Friday we headed back to Ghent after a yummy Italian dinner.
