Saturday was my second 10k race, the Jay Dix Challenge to Cure. I had a great time. The energy was contagious and it was wonderful to see my honey at the end of the race, cheering me on. I was pleased that I did considerably better than last year. Last year I ran 6 10:00 miles and this year I ran 9:30 minute miles. I cut down my race time from 1:02 to 59:00. I really love running and the race, for me, is a great pat on the back for months of getting up at 4:45 am to train, 5 days a week. I feel ready to tackle the half marathon now.
