Dad and Anja moved their Christmas celebration to New Year's Eve to make everyone's schedules more open this year. We all got together and exchanged gifts. The kids are always fun to watch.
This year, I wasn't the first to fall asleep.
We stayed up to ring in the New Year with Dick Clark and watched the ball drop in New York.

Happiest moments of the year - Picking up J.J., visiting my best friends in Belgium
Accomplishments - Jonathan's admission to Grad School, Jayme's TA position, completion of a half marathon, awarded first grant, two students with 4.0 GPA's
Toughest moments - Grad school stress!
Hopes for the New Year - start and finish thesis, Jayme graduate with MA, spend more time with family
