Lots of new things

We had a busy, productive, and fun weekend. Saturday morning we woke up early to go to the MU rummage sale, the gym, and pick up a bed frame for our new Queen bed. Then we set up the bed, washed new sheets, and I ran 4 miles. Ate lunch and met our realtor to view some new places to live. The first place we saw was a disaster but we ended up finding the ideal place. It is a deluxe apartment in a professor's home. It's truly amazing and we hope that the lease works out, which we are working on now. It is beautiful with a yard where J.J. can play and close to a lake and dog park. We are really excited about it. The best part is that it is less per month than what we pay now.
J.J. has this hilarious habit of laying on our feet. When I cook dinner, he insists on sleeping on top of my feet. If I move, he will follow and lay back down.
Saturday night we went to the dog park for the first time. It is wonderful - there's a lake, leash-free zone, and lots of room to run. We were excited but nervous to see how J.J. would react around the other dogs.

Right away he was introduced to a great dane, St. Bernard, and husky and had no trouble at all. We were worried that he would be afraid since he was attacked by the black lab in our neighborhood a few weeks ago. Everyone commented on how cute and sweet he is. We know. :)

We went back last night and had a great time running and playing. We find that it's worth the time to take him because he will sleep well after getting some of his energy out.

Daddy and J.J.
Sunday we got a lot done around the house. Ran errands and cleaned the house top to bottom. It was a mess and overdue for a good thorough cleanse. Moving in 6 weeks is a great incentive to get rid of some old stuff. Dinner was some veggie cookout food - veggie dogs, roasted corn on the cob, pasta salad, and chilled cantaloupe for dessert. A fantastic weekend.
