Old friends, new tricks

This week our good friend, Ben, came to see us from LA. We haven't seen him in years and it was so nice to catch up. He's currently a very successful Grad student in Film School and we can't wait to see his name in the credits some day. J.J. loved meeting his Uncle Ben. Congratulations on your accomplishments and we love you, Ben!

Saturday, J.J. went for his first walk on the trail. It was lovely but terribly hot. We were sweating and J.J. was panting by the time we completed one mile.

We went to the park nearly everyday and twice on the day Ben was with us. J.J. loves it. He can hardly contain himself when we pull up. See below a very happy puppy.

Hi, my name is J.J. and I like to eat goose poop and play in the mud at the park. Then I squirm on mom's lap on the car ride home and get her as filthy as me. She likes it!

J.J.'s new favorite things is to play in the tub and bite at the faucet. It's been helpful in keeping him cool during these scorching hot days. Last Friday the heat index was 109F (that's 42C for our centigrade friends). And it's only June!

J.J. is also now tall enough to jump up on the recliner. It's his new favorite spot.

Other than that, we cleaned house, packed a little, watched Frasier, and enjoyed a nice quiet weekend at home. Looking forward to the July 4th holiday!
